PCRG’s Community Development Working Group, works to enable community organizations to facilitate impactful development projects in their neighborhoods. Through education and capacity building, relationship-building with developers and funders, and advocacy initiatives, CDWG seeks to improve opportunities for and break down barriers to development. Direct relationships between community groups and developers are integral to effective neighborhood development. We will be holding a quarterly developer roundtable, beginning this summer, to share project information and encourage partnerships.
PCRG is also working on building a neighborhood pipeline for development projects. We are asking for community input on projects that member organizations plan to complete or facilitate within the next 3 to 5 years, regardless of whether the project has received any funding commitment. The goal of this pipeline is to paint a more complete picture of the community development process and efforts throughout the City. The Survey can be accessed here.
