NCST Property Acquisition Program Community Buyer

The National Community Stabilization Trust (NCST) is a non-profit organization that works to restore vacant and abandoned properties to productive use and protect neighborhoods from blight. Participation in NCST programs facilitates the rehabilitation of vacant but structurally sound homes. PCRG serves as a Community Buyer through the NCST Property Acquisition Program. In this role, PCRG serves as a pass-through buyer, enabling PCRG's members and partners to benefit from the NCST Property Acquisition Program without going through the lengthy application and training process needed for groups to qualify in their own right.

By the end of 2016,--more than 150 properties in Allegheny County were made available through the NCST Property Acquisition Program,--PCRG members or partners had inspected over fifty properties,--more than twenty offers were requested by PCRG members or partner--seven offers were accepted,--and six closings were completed. For more information about participation in this program, including information about upcoming training dates, please call the PCRG office at 412-391-6732.
